Multi-Day Fishing—Deschutes Trout

TRIP description

THE DAY BEFORE YOUR TRIP

We suggest that you spend the night before your journey at one of the many hotels listed on the Trip Logistics page. Packing lists, Shuttle information, as well as the time and location of our launch are here as well.  Click below for complete details.

DAY 1

At 8:30 a.m., we’ll meet you at Trout Creek. Our boats are launched and are ready for fishing! You’ll wade upstream and prepare your overnight kit to be transported downriver on our cargo raft. We’ll assist you in stringing rods and selecting the flies we’ll use at the beginning of the day.

By 9:00 a.m. we are heading out to catch redsides. We round the first bend and enter Trout Creek Rapids, the day’s first rapid. The boat will make 3 to 10 stops to fish before stopping at 1:00 p.m. for a deluxe shore lunch.

We return to the boats about 3:00 p.m. and each boat will make 3 to 10 fishing stops before arriving at camp around 7:00 p.m. You’ll find your gear and a first-rate camp waiting for you when you arrive. Appetizers will be provided while the guides prepare your dinner, which will be served at 8:00 p.m.

day 2

Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m., with coffee available at 6:00 a.m.  After a substantial breakfast, the guides will break camp, pack the cargo boat, and send it off to secure and set up the second night’s site.

By 9:00 a.m. we’ll be in the boats, ready to enjoy another day of fishing on the Deschutes River. We’ll go fishing all day, eat lunch at 1:00 p.m., and return to camp at 7:00 p.m.

day 3

Day 3 ends at 1:00 p.m. Coffee is at 6:00 a.m., breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and we are fishing by 9:00 a.m.

Your vehicle will be waiting for you when you arrive at the takeout location near Maupin, Oregon. Your luggage will be ready for you after the cargo boat has been unloaded.

You’ve just finished a fantastic trout fishing excursion on the Deschutes River catching a lot of Redsides, eating luxurious shore lunches, and having gourmet meals and breakfasts. You’ve relaxed in camp, shared fish tales, and created lifelong memories. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
